Fixing the OneDrive thumbnail issue can be a big problem for fans, which is why we opted to find the best possible way to get things back to normal.

1] Disable Files on Demand

This is what you need to do to get things under control. Go to Settings by right-clicking on the icon located in the taskbar that is in OneDrive. Click More, then Settings to open a new window.

Click the Settings tab, then uncheck the Files on-demand service. Restart your computer, then check if the thumbnails are working properly. In most situations, this alone should solve your problem, but if that fails, try the next option.

2] Change icon view

Chances are the problem has more to do with the icon size than anything, to be honest. So there you have it, we want you to launch Control Panel in Windows 10 by launching the search box and then typing the control panel.

After that type the folder in the search box and then click on File Explorer Options. You should now see the View tab, so click on it and then uncheck the option that says Always show icons. Make sure the thumbnail view is active.

So the last step is to go back to the Control Panel and type the system in the search field. Now a new window should appear, and this is where you have to select the option, Show advanced system settings. In the Display section, click on Settings, and then finally, tap on the option that allows you to show thumbnails instead of icons.
