2- Remove All Existing Files That a User Previously Shared
When you block someone in Google Drive, you won’t be able to access files or folders they’ve previously shared. This is a simple yet effective way to get rid of abusive content or spam. You don’t have to delete them manually.
3. Remove Someone’s Access to Your Files

How to Block Someone in Google Drive
Knowing how to block someone in Google Drive can make a big difference in keeping you safe on the web. It’s easy to block and unblock someone in Google Drive. Here are all the ways to do it:
- To block someone in Google Drive using your personal computer, you must first use Google Drive.
- Go to the Share with me tab and right-click on the file that belongs to the user you want to block.
- Click Block [email/username] from the drop-down menu.
- Select Block in the pop-up window that appears.
Using Android Device
- To block another Drive user on Android, open your Drive app.
- Navigate to the file that belongs to the user you want to block. Tap on the menu option available at the top right of a file.
- Click Block [email/username] from the drop-down menu.
- Also, choose Block from the pop-up window.
Use an iPhone or iPad
- To block someone on your iPhone or iPad, go to the Drive app.
- Select the file belonging to the unwanted user. Tap on the three-dot icon available at the top right of a file.
- Click Block [email/username] from the drop-down menu.
- Confirm your choice and tap Block again in the pop-up window that appears.
How to Unblock a Person in Google Drive
To unblock someone in Google Drive using your computer, you need to go to Google Drive. To unblock people on your Android or iOS device, go to the Drive app on your device. The following steps are the same for all devices:
- Click on your profile picture in the top right. Select Manage your Google Account from the drop-down menu.
- From the next menu that opens choose People & Sharing.
- Click Blocked and you will be able to see a list that shows you blocked accounts in your Google products.
- You will get the option of Delete next to the name of the user. Click Delete.

There is a more direct way to access and manage your blocked list. Go to the list of people blocked in your Google Account and you will be able to see the people you have blocked on various Google apps. If you want to unblock someone, click Remove.
