  • Restart the phone.
  • Check your internet connectivity.
  • Update the app from Play Store.

1. Check OneDrive Backup Settings

The OneDrive Android app provides some backup settings for uploading photos from the camera to the disk. Make sure to set the settings as per your needs, you can upload camera photos via wifi or wifi and mobile. In addition, there are other options to check camera backup photos and videos.

  • Under Camera Downloads, you have the option to download media via WiFi and WiFi or mobile data only. If you set the option for WiFi only, the camera will download media when your Android is connected to WiFi only and if you select WiFi & Mobile, the media will be backed up when you use mobile data or WiFi will be connected to the network.

  • Open Android Settings.
  • Click on Network & Wi-Fi and open SIM & networks.
  • Here, click on Data Saver and disable the toggle.

Steps to Disable Background Data Restriction

  • Long press and hold the OneDrive app and click App info.
  • Click here on Mobile data and Wi-Fi.
  • Here, enable background data, this will provide full internet access to OneDrive. You can enable unlimited data usage to save photos even when Data Saver is on.

3. Clear OneDrive Cache

The last option is to clear the cache of the OneDrive app. Android collects app data in the form of cache and data, which can force the app to quit or crash. It’s best to clear the cache of the OneDrive app on Android.

  • Open OneDrive App Settings.
  • Click on Storage and Cache.
  • Clear the cache, the problem should be fixed, if it’s not fixed as well, clear the data. Erasing data won’t delete your OneDrive files, only Android app data and settings information.
